Nature Walks
and Snowshoe Tours
Within our region, we have a multitude of natural places
and habitats that can be enjoyed year-round. On the coast,
the rocky shores of Sachuest Point and salt marshes of Succotash
Marsh are winter homes for spectacular birds that can’t
be seen any other time of year. On the forested trails of
Copicut Woods, bare branches open up views hidden in summertime,
and when the snow comes, animal tracks are everywhere!
These and many other places are waiting to be discovered.
As a professional outdoor leader, nature writer and photographer,
Cat Radcliffe has explored our natural areas in every season.
Join her in sampling the wonders of nature in autumn and winter.
If there’s no snow, we’ll walk; if there is, OSA
will provide snowshoes for a small additional charge. We also
carry a full line of binoculars and accessories, and we’ll
bring some along for you to try.

Moonlight Paddles
A spectacular way to end a summer's day is to join us for
a moonlight paddle. We plan departure early enough to get
everyone through the safety drill and familiar with basic
paddling technique, then head out under the setting sun. As
the sun sets and the moon rises, look for the natural phosphorescence
in the water, then enjoy paddling back under the light of
the full moon. There is no experience to compare.
$65, including guide, kayak and gear.

the coastline, local estuaries, and inland waterways. Watch

Rivers (East and West Branches), and Gertrude Boyden Wildlife
Sanctuary on the Three Mile River. We'll make a day of it,
and provide a box lunch and a snack. The relaxed pace allows
for plenty of stops in picturesque spots - bring your camera
and binoculars!
$85 includes transportation to and from our launch sites,
box lunch & snack, boats, gear, and guides.
